Human Resources Director

Doctolib has an amazing 400 people team all sharing the same SPAAH values in France and Germany. We are looking for a highly ambitious Human Resource Director ready to partner with our management to bring this team to the next level: a team of 2 000 people across Europe by 2022, all sharing the same passion to make healthcare access easier in Europe.

You will have a full operational and strategic lead over Talent Acquisition, HR Ops and Talent Development for Doctolib in France with a team of 8 people today, based in Paris.

Founded in 2013, Doctolib is the fastest growing and largest e-health startup in Europe.

For patients, Doctolib is a free online service to find a nearby health practitioner, book appointments 24/24 and 7/7 within a few clicks and manage medical bookings. For doctors and hospitals, Doctolib is a software and a full-range of services to improve their organization, grow their activities, build a new premium patient experience and collaborate with referring doctors.

We try to deliver simple tools and services to improve people’s health and the quality of life of people working in healthcare.

Some key figures about us:

  • We are in partnership with 40,000 doctors and 900 healthcare facilities including some of the most important hospitals in France and Germany.

  • We receive 12 million patients every month on our platform with a strong growth.

  • We have now a team of 400 people in 35 offices in France and Germany with a headquarter in Paris & Berlin.

  • We have raised €85m from Accel Partners (investor in Facebook, Spotify, Dropbox…), Eurazeo, Bpifrance, Kerala Ventures and some entrepreneurs (Nicolas Brusson (BlaBlaCar), Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet (PriceMinister), Ludwig Klitzsch (CoMedicum), Bertrand Jelensperger (TheFork)…).



Your missions:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Full leadership on the recruitment plan & strategy in France

    • Be a holder for the quality & relevance of the recruitment plan according to corporate targets

    • Management of our Paris based recruitment teams

    • The split of recruitment by function is 50% sales & customer success, 25% tech, 25% other functions (marketing, product, administration etc.)  

    • Min 150 recruitments per year for the coming 3 years

  • Be an advocate for always raising the bar in recruitment: coaching of hiring teams and continuous improvement of recruitment processed & assessment methods

  • Design bold & innovative sourcing strategies to always be ahead of the market and engage with the best talents

Talent Development:

  • Act hand in hand with the management team to design ambitious talent development plans by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training etc.

  • Report and issue recommendations to the management teams on all HR topics

  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics

HR Operations:

  • Be an advocate for the data-driven culture of recruitment and HR management : training on tools, design of relevant reports for decision making etc.

  • Implement a structured HR data management system (HRIS etc.)

  • As HR Director of our headquarters, develop corporate plans across countries for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.

  • Manage internal payroll management team and implement relevant audits

  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions

  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards

  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks


Who you are?

  • You have a proven experience as HR Director in an a fast-growing company, an international track record is a plus

  • You have a good business acumen and a deep understanding of organizations

  • You are a pioneer in terms of recruitment excellence, with a real track record to speak for yourself

  • You are diligent and firm with high ethical standards

  • You have good analytical skills, you are at ease with excel and reporting tools. Being very acquainted with the latest HR SaaS tools is a plus

  • You have an excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations (a degree in French labour law is a plus)

  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills

  • You are fluent in French & English, any other European language is a plus
